Gear Gear oil 75W90 GL5 is an API GL-4 gear lubricant specially recommended for manual transmissions and transaxles, automotive axles with hypoid gears operating nder low to moderate loads, and spiral bevel gears operating at moderate to severe loads.

Gear Gear oil 75W90 GL5 is a low viscosity product designed to minimize the problems of shift baulking at low temperatures and excessive noise when the oil is hot.

Gear Gear oil 75W90 GL5 is specifically designed to provide very much improved:

• Oil seal life due to seal compatibility

• Durability due to good EP performance

• Corrosion protection of yellow metals under both wet and dry conditions

• Demulsibility allowing the oil to release any water that has entered the gearbox

Special oxidation resistant severely hydro-treated base oils combined with high performance extreme pressure additives are formulated into Gear oil 75W90 GL5 to ensure long service life to transmissions and drive lines. The “stay on” properties of Gear oil 75W90 GL5 effectively quieten transmission drive line noise tendencies under conditions of low speed high torque, high speed low torque and shock loading.

The foam inhibitors used in Gear Gear oil 75W90 GL5 avoid the natural tendency of transmissions to develop foam. Foam is undesirable because it causes oil film breakdown, promoting ineffective gear lubrication with resultant premature wear.
